Population Health Observatory
Founded in 2003 by Dr. Randy Carter, Associate Chair of Biostatistics, the PHO is a public health research, training, and informatics center. PHO faculty and students apply biostatistical and computational expertise to analyze large population based data sets (local, statewide, national and international) to enhance knowledge and public health. The goal of the PHO is to provide policy makers, public health professionals and regulatory agencies with information that promotes data driven health policy and decision making.
